Northern Beaches Council says it has a licensed asbestos disposal facility on the Northern Beaches, the Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre, owned by Northern Beaches Council (96%) and Mosman Council (4%). The EPA lists the same site on Kimbriki Rd, Terrey Hills.

Council's A to Z guide says asbestos is accepted at Kimbriki but that conditions apply, so phone before you load. Before renovating, demolishing or doing home maintenance where asbestos is present, Council says to check with its Planning and Assessment department whether consent is required.
